The Canada Visitor Visa is a Temporary Resident Visa which allows the foreign nationals to visit Canada for reasons such as:
- Tourism or holidays in Canada
- Visiting family and friends
- Explore Business Opportunities
- Attend Graduation Ceremony of an international students
If you like to visit Canada for a short period of time you may apply for Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). You can visit Canada as a tourist, to see family and friends, or to explore business opportunity. Whether you intend to visit Canada for a few days or few months, you must meet immigration requirements.

You must be able to fulfill the following criteria to apply for the Temporary Resident visas for Canada:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid governmental issued passport with at least one blank pag.

- Translate and certify all the documents which are in another language other than English or French.
- Provide a Police Clearance certificate to prove that you are a law-abiding citizen of your country and hold no criminal record.
- Pay the visa application fees and visa processing fees.
- Submit copies of your current immigration status in your country of residence.
- Have funds to cover your stay in Canada.
- Be ready to attend and interview or give biometric information.
- Go through a medical examination if you are asked.
- Demonstrate that your stay in Canada is temporary and that you will go back to your home country after your visit.
- Demonstrate that you do not intend to work or study in Canada unless authorized to do so.
- Not be inadmissible to Canada
You may be required to give your fingerprints and photograph at a designated location near by your country of residence. Your family members may also need to give fingerprints if your family members are also applying.
If you hold Canadian tourist visa you are not allowed to work or study in Canada. You may travel across Canada for visiting your family and friends and sightseeing; however, you are not allowed to stay in Canada permanently. Also, you are not allowed to file for Canadian Health Care and other government benefits.
Important information: It is not your right to allow you to enter Canada but a privilege. Therefore, you must meet the requirements for Temporary Resident Visa.
